To get ahead in the IT industry it is crucial that you have the right qualifications and experience. However it important that when you do train for your Microsoft Certificate you do not just select any course, but one that is best suited to the skills you have currently.

Certainly of all the IT Certificates now being given the ones that are given by Microsoft are the most widely recognized and respected of them all. It is through the right kind of Microsoft Certificate training a person is able to work in various areas of Microsoft systems and so their role in in the IT industry can be much more varied.

When it comes to obtaining a Microsoft certificate you need to be able to work with one of two platforms that are used in conjunction with all their software packages. One needs to decide whether they want to train in Windows Server 2003 or Windows 2000 platform. For the Windows Server 2003 platform training you will need no less than 12 months experience in all aspects of Microsoft's network and desktop operating systems. Then at the end of the training each person will be required to complete and pass 6 core exams along with one exam that they have chosen themselves.

For those who are intending to obtain a certificate for Microsoft Windows 2000 platform again you need to have at least 12 months experience but this time in relation to Microsoft's network operating systems only. For you to get your Microsoft Certificate at the end of your training you need to take and pass 5 core exams but two rather than one elective exam.

Getting the right Microsoft Certificates at the end of all that training may seem a long way off. But just thing what benefits it will have to your future career in the IT industry and what kind of money you could be earning also.
