Host Your Own Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
Get into the spirit of the fantastical new Alice in Wonderland 3D film by hosting your own Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. The new adaptation by visionary Director Tim Burton starring his Johnny Depp as the mad Hatter is of course based on the much-loved book by Lewis Carroll. Try these three easy steps for an unforgettable Mad Hatter’s Tea Party:
1. Costumes First things first, you’ll need suitable attire to attend the party in. Luckily, you have lots of characters to choose from, here’s our pick: The Mad Hatter himself: you’ll need a top-hat with a 10/6 card tucked into the ribbon, waistcoat, bow tie and smart trousers. Complete the look with unruly hair and a wild look in your eyes and you’re good to go! Alice: a blue dress with a white pinafore over the top, white tights, black shoes and a black headband will have you looking just like Alice. The Cheshire Cat: aside from the obvious grin from ear to ear, you’ll need a pink and black striped body suit and ears. Don’t forget the tail! The White Rabbit: bunny ears, whiskers and a tail complete with a waistcoat and pocket watch will transform you into the perfect White Rabbit.
2. Decorations Start by finding a long table and position it in the centre of the room (or garden if you taking tea outside). On it place a variety of mismatched teapots, cups and saucers; the odder the better. Use chairs that vary in height, so that your guests will be sitting higgledy piggeldy.
